Execution evidence

Connect the facts. Keep control of the trade.

Jerno can observe supported execution activity or review a compatible exported file. It cannot place, modify or cancel your orders.

Two ways to add facts

A connection and an import are not the same.

Each method is labelled clearly so you know what is automatic, what you review and what access is involved.

Controlled pilot

Read-only connection

A supported desktop bridge sends confirmed execution events after they occur. Jerno can prompt you to add the reasoning and can reflect supported lifecycle changes.

  • Ongoing supported events
  • Private trade prompts
  • No broker password stored by Jerno
Available import

Reviewed file import

You export compatible execution history from the platform, preview the rows inside Jerno and choose whether to confirm them.

  • No persistent broker connection
  • Mapping and warnings before confirmation
  • Existing journal history remains intact
Current beta support

Every platform, accurately labelled.

Support describes the current Jerno capability—not every service offered by the broker or terminal itself.

Read-only desktop bridge

MetaTrader 5

Approved testers can send supported deal events from the MT5 desktop terminal to their private Jerno workspace.

Tradovate

Preview compatible execution exports, check recognised rows and confirm the import before journal records are created.

NinjaTrader

Import compatible trade history without sharing broker credentials or granting ongoing account access.

TradeStation

Map compatible export columns, review warnings and approve the execution facts that enter the journal.

TopstepX

Bring compatible historical execution evidence into Jerno through a confirmation-first import workflow.

Supported import

Imports depend on the columns and detail contained in the platform export. Jerno always shows a preview before confirmation.

From execution to journal

The prompt arrives after the fill.

Your trade remains inside the platform. Jerno connects the confirmed facts with the explanation only you can provide.

  1. 01

    Execution occurs

The order is placed and managed entirely in the trading platform.

  2. 02

    Facts arrive

A supported event or reviewed import provides symbol, side, quantity, price and time.

  3. 03

    You are prompted

A supported notification opens voice capture while the reasoning is still fresh.

  4. 04

    The record reconciles

Supported closing events, partials and realised P&L can update the journal evidence.

Confirmation before import

See what will be added before anything changes.

Jerno previews recognised rows, column mappings and warnings. Confirmed imports add execution evidence without deleting or rewriting the journal history already in your account.

Multi-currency reporting

Keep the account result and the journal total honest.

Jerno can retain a trade in the broker account currency and translate it into the chosen journal currency using a confirmed exchange rate. Different currencies are not simply added together.

Security and control

Observe the evidence. Never control the order.

Jerno asks only for the execution information needed to build the journal record. Sensitive credentials should never be sent through support or placed in a journal note.

  • No order placementJerno cannot submit buy or sell orders.
  • No order managementStops, targets and open positions remain controlled by the platform.
  • No MT5 broker passwordThe desktop bridge uses a private Jerno token, not the trading password.
Connection questions

Know exactly what to expect.

Can Jerno place or close a trade?

No. Jerno is deliberately read-only. Trading and order management remain inside the broker or trading platform.

Does every listed platform connect automatically?

No. MetaTrader 5 is a controlled desktop bridge pilot. Tradovate, NinjaTrader, TradeStation and TopstepX currently use reviewed file imports.

What happens to my existing journal when I import a file?

The preview shows the proposed records before confirmation. Existing journal history is retained rather than replaced.

Will a connected execution create my reasoning?

No. A supported fill can provide execution facts and prompt you to record, but your reasoning remains your own evidence.

Can I disconnect a broker?

Yes. Disconnecting stops future supported sync while retaining the journal history already recorded in your account.

Why might an import show warnings?

Exports differ between platforms and versions. Missing sides, timestamps, prices or column mappings are shown for review instead of being silently guessed.
